As our Regional financial reporting and controlling manager you will have holistic ownership and responsibility of financial reporting, financial compliance and financial controlling in the region (multiple legal entities across Northern Europe).

What your daily tasks would include in next 12 months?
The position requires effective leadership and execution for the following key focus areas (additional responsibilities may be added as the needs of the business change):
Lead, direct and manage financial operations to deliver timely, relevant and reliable financial reporting (incl. monthly, quarterly and annually reporting) in accordance with IFRS, local GAAPs and Group accounting policies.
Work closely with business finance function to keep abreast with business development and ensure proactive advice and management of consequential financial aspects.
Coordinate (including with Corporate SMEs) and ensure financial compliance, tax and governance – e.g. audits, VAT and tax filings, transfer pricing.
Coordinate and implement robust, effective and efficient internal controls over financial reporting.
Drive positive change by initiating, evaluating and leading improvement projects in the financial reporting, financial controlling and governance area. In specific, increasing the finance organization’s efficiency; reducing transaction costs through lean organization setup, standardization and automation.
Be the speaking partner to the cluster CFO on all accounting, financial reporting and compliance matters.
Co-ordinate and ensure delivery of periodic and ad-hoc P&L, Cash flow forecasts and Balance Sheet analytics (e.g. periodic spend analytics, receivable analytics) and drive optimization.
Lead optimization of working capital (e.g. factoring), coordinate insurance coverage for the region, and implement robust credit risk management processes.
Maintain day to day relationships with banks and liaise with Corporate Treasury for banking matters.
Staff responsibilities including recruitment of high caliber staff, training and development through insightful feedback and performance evaluations.
Liaise, coordinate and be responsible for delivery via external accounting providers.

To qualify for this role you must have (not in any specific order):
A university degree preferably in accounting, finance or business.
Be fluent in written and spoken (business) English.
8+ years of progressive work experience in financial functions e.g. external auditing, finance controlling, financial reporting, with at least 3 recent years working in financial reporting and controlling.
Prior experience in managing year-end processes and liaising with auditors, as well as a good working knowledge of the group reporting process in a multi entities & currencies environment.
Prior experience from an offshore/nearshore accounting Center of Excellence (CoE)/Shared service centers (SSC).
Prior experience in optimization of financial function including with help of automation.
Broad understanding of IFRS, key accounting concepts and principles.
Advanced MS Office skills especially MS-Excel.
Highly desirable (not in any specific order)…
Swedish proficiency would be considered as an advantage.
Prior experience in transition managing finance processes to nearshore accounting CoE/SSC.
A professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) or Master’s in accounting, finance or business.
Prior experience of working with SAP FICO and prior experience in Hyperion as a consolidation tool.
Prior experience of deploying Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in financial processes (experience as functional/subject matter expert is also appreciated, you may not be hands-on with RPA tools).
