To coordinate, support and advise the Business on all aspects with regards to Physical Security and
Occupational Safety and Health. To establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications,
training and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Physical Security and Occupational Safety &
Health within Transcom are adhered to.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages the physical security operations for Luzon sites.
- Conducts physical security risk assessments.
- Recommends and implement controls that would improve physical security.
- Prepares physical security guidelines in support of the policies.
- Leads the incident response and reporting for physical security incidents.
- Loss prevention, crisis management and business continuity assistance.
- Creates reporting on relevant physical security metrics.
- Government & community liaison and negotiation support.
- Management of event security to include coordination and planning sessions.
- Supervision of investigation, covert, and surveillance operations.
- Meeting/coordination/operation with law enforcement agencies and security
agencies.
- Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
- Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are
adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
- Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to
health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
- Ensure the completion and regular review of OSH assessments for all work
equipment and operations.
- Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended
improvements implemented
- Ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments and lone working
procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities.
- Coordinate the development of health & safety policies, systems of work and
procedures. Ensure full and accurate health and safety and training records are
maintained.
- Establish a full programme of documented health & safety inspections, audits
and checks. Establish a structured programme of health & safety training
throughout the Company.
- Liaise with external health & safety consultants in the provision of training
programmes and health and safety services.
- Manage and devise the agenda for, moderate and formulate & distribute
minutes for the Health & Safety Committee meetings.
Key Metrics and Scorecard:
a. Regulatory and Statutory Compliance (e.g. PCI DSS, Fire Code, DOLE)
b. Timely submission of incident and investigation reports
c. Timely submission of security audits and closure recommended mitigations
d. Cost optimization and savings generations through proper supply chain management
What we are looking for:
To be successful in this role you must…
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred in relevant technical
competency area
- At least seven (7) years of experience managing corporate safety and security protocols, security policy, and
security management, with expertise in OSHA workplace safety requirements.
- 3-5 years of work experience as
Safety Officer.
- Experience conducting and coordinating in-depth safety and security investigations, including drafting detailed
incident reports that involve sensitive or confidential staff information
- Report writing (e.g. incident, investigation, security risk assessment)
- Ability to solve technical, managerial, and operational problems and evaluate options based on relevant
information, resources, experience, and knowledge
- Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
- Proficient in MS Office;
- Excellent organizational skills
- Diligent with great attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain security, health and safety topics
- Demonstrated leadership, agility, flexibility and integrity
- English fluency required
