The Product Owner needs to learn and understand the application ecosystem and its components and must be able to translate business requirements into functional designs in accordance with Transcom’s application strategy.
The Product Owner is a bridge between Transcom’s operational business analysts, product managers and the development team, and has the role of executing the product strategy and managing the development team within the scope of the responsible products. The Product Owner must have the ability to understand the viewpoints and needs of both the business and development teams. Product Owner is responsible for the product lifecycle, communication with the stakeholders and managing the product development process.
Other responsibilities include supporting the development team, managing backlog items, and optimizing the value of the product toward achieving the vision.


Responsibilities:

  • Supports Product manager in presales process if needed
  • Understands business needs in-depth
  • Responsible for a lifecycle of a product
  • Gather, analyze and clarify requirements, creates valuable product functionalities specifications
  • Design and document the related functional requirements
  • Participate in solution design discussions
  • Always look for efficiency improvements and potential cost savings
  • Track and manage change requests during and after the implementation
  • Prioritize needs of the scope, budget, and time, weighing priorities according to the needs and objectives of stakeholders.
  • Understands HR processes and serves as an IT business partner for HR activities in BI and software development and delivery

What we are looking for:

  • Strong background in Product management activities or proven Product owner role in the career path
  • Strong understanding of managing the product lifecycle and software development process
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies, plus is Scrum master experience or certificate
  • Analytical and efficient driven mindset
  • Consultancy experience in HR processes or active participant and designer of HR processes
  • BPO industry experience is a plus
  • Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen
  • Established background in launching software or services and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development
  • Detailed-oriented and able to produce high quality specification to the development teams
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude
  • Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability
  • Be a self-starter and eager to learn
  • Ability to work in a geographically and culturally diverse environment
  • Ability to travel and occasionally work outside office hours
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is a must (both written and spoken)
